There are many reasons why taking the first steps toward recovery can be difficult. One of the most unfortunate—and most common—barriers is a lack of financial accessibility. At Sophros Recovery, we understand how cost can stand in the way of getting help, which is why we work with a wide range of insurance providers.
We accept VA Community Care insurance, which helps ensure that eligible veterans can access quality care when VA services are unavailable or insufficient.
Sophros Recovery holds deep respect for the veterans in our community. If you are a veteran, we want to support you in getting the care you need and deserve. Reach out to us to learn more about our veteran coverage options and the insurances we accept.
The VA Community Care Network (VA CCN) is a national network of community-based healthcare providers that works alongside the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs to ensure veterans have access to timely, high-quality care. Through this program, the VA partners with insurers like Optum to offer veterans more flexibility in choosing where and how they receive services.
Authorized by the VA MISSION Act of 2018, this program expanded access to community care options when VA facilities are unable to provide necessary services. As a result, veterans can receive treatment at approved community locations, such as Sophros Recovery, using their VA Community Care insurance.
Sophros Recovery is proud to be a community provider working in partnership with Optum, one of the third-party administrators for the VA Community Care Network. This allows us to extend our services to veterans with specific eligibility requirements.
You may qualify for VA Optum insurance rehab admissions if:
The service you need is not available at a VA medical facility.
There is no full-service VA medical facility nearby.
You qualify under the grandfather provision related to distance eligibility (Veterans Choice Program).
Wait times at your local VA facility are 20 days or more for primary or mental health care.
A VA provider determines that receiving care in the community is in your best interest.
The VA medical service available to you does not meet quality standards.
If you meet any of the above criteria, you may be eligible for VA Community Care insurance. Contact us to learn more about your rehab coverage options in Jacksonville, Florida.
