Addiction Treatment Programs

At Sophros Recovery, we understand that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to treating substance use disorder. We offer a wide range of outpatient addiction treatment programs, each designed to equip our clients with the tools they need for lasting, meaningful recovery.

For many, admitting the need for help is incredibly difficult. Addiction develops gradually, and people often don’t realize they’ve crossed the line from occasional use to dependence until they’re no longer in control. Others may know they have a problem but feel they can manage it alone or don’t know where to turn.

Wherever you are on your journey, Sophros Recovery can help. Our personalized addiction treatment options, which also address co-occurring mental health concerns, are designed to meet you where you are and move you forward.

Do I need an addiction treatment program?

These questions can help you decide whether added support could be helpful right now:

  • Do you experience withdrawal symptoms when you try to stop or cut back?
  • Has substance use affected your focus, attendance, or performance at work or school?
  • Are long work hours, commuting, or shift schedules harder to manage because of substance use?
  • Does using, finding, or recovering from substances take up more time than you want it to?
  • Has substance use caused tension at home or made family responsibilities feel overwhelming?
  • Have you taken risks while under the influence, including driving or making unsafe decisions?
  • Have others noticed changes in your mood, behavior, or motivation?
  • Have you relapsed after trying to quit or after previous treatment?
  • Do you use substances to cope with anxiety, depression, trauma, or ongoing stress?

If you answered “yes” to one or more of these questions, an outpatient addiction treatment program in Jacksonville may provide the structure and support you are looking for.

The four pillars of our addiction treatment programs

Our approach to treatment is built on four core components that support long-term healing:

Therapy:

Both individual and group therapy help clients understand and manage addictive behaviors.

Medication-assisted treatment (MAT):

Evidence-based use of medication alongside therapy in MAT can support withdrawal management and relapse prevention.

Case management and life skills:

We help clients identify and coordinate essential resources, including housing, finances, employment, and ongoing care, to support stability after treatment.

Alumni support:

Recovery doesn’t stop when treatment ends. For long-term connection and accountability, we offer SMART Recovery, mindfulness groups, peer support, and alumni gatherings.

Our levels of care

As an outpatient-only treatment center, Sophros Recovery provides flexible options that allow clients to stay connected to daily life while receiving care. Our Jacksonville programs include:

Partial hospitalization program (PHP):
Clients attend full-day treatment and return home or to sober living in the evening. PHP offers comprehensive care similar to residential treatment.

Intensive outpatient program (IOP):
Our IOP provides high-quality treatment with flexible scheduling, ideal for those who balance responsibilities like work or school. We also offer an evening intensive outpatient program and a virtual IOP to accommodate different needs.

Outpatient program (OP):
Our least intensive option, the OP, allows clients to continue building coping skills through regular therapy sessions while maintaining maximum independence.

We also offer gender-specific programming to support focused, relevant care.

Our programs help fit your life in Jacksonville

Treatment should work alongside your responsibilities, not replace them. Our outpatient programs are designed to support recovery while you continue work, school, and family life.

Evening IOP

Structured care outside standard daytime hours for people balancing work or family responsibilities.

Virtual IOP

Remote treatment for clients who need flexibility due to scheduling, transportation, or personal commitments.

PHP

Higher-level, daytime support with the ability to continue living at home or in sober living.

Testimonials

"I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know the team, ethos, mission, and values at Sophros, and saying I’m impressed doesn’t come close. They go above and beyond to make their clients feel safe, seen, and cared for — and as someone who champions mental health, I know how essential those seemingly simple elements are to real healing."

- Madeleine I.

"I started Sophros Recovery a few months ago and I completed all of my sessions and I really want to say is that it helped me in so many ways and areas that I needed help with that I didn't understand and how to adapt to them if any situation came up that involves breaking my commitment to sobriety. Sophros helped me so much and the team that works there are absolutely incredible."

- Danny H.
